Julia Angelov

Violin – USA/Bulgaria/Japan – 20

WFISC SEMI-FINALIST 2021

Julia Angelov is a Bulgarian-Japanese violinist. She has appeared with American orchestras including the National Philharmonic at Strathmore, the U.S. Army Orchestra, and has performed in Europe and Russia. Competitions won include the Music Teachers National Association’s (MTNA) National Strings Competition. She was a semi-finalist of the 2020 Young Concert Artists (YCA) International Auditions, and joined the 2021 Kronberg Academy Violin Masterclasses as an active participant. She currently studies at the Colburn Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Robert Lipsett, and performs on a violin by Andrea Guarneri on loan from Florian Leonhard Fine Violins, New York.
