Maxim Calver

WFISC SEMI-FINALIST 2021

Maxim Calver was a grand finalist of the BBC Young Musician Competition 2018, where he made his concerto debut alongside the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall. Highlights since then include appearances at the Berlin Konzerthaus, Pau Casals Festival, Cadogan Hall, Wigmore Hall and St. John's Smith Square amongst others. This season he will make his European concerto debut at the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg as well as recitals around the UK. Maxim currently studies at the Royal College of Music with Professor Melissa Phelps and he is proud to be the Herbert Howells and Thomas Fielden scholar.
