Minchae Kim

Born in South Korea, Minchae Kim began playing the violin at the age of seven. She gave her concerto debut at age nine with Jeonju Philharmonic Orchestra and debut recital at age fourteen in Kumho Art Hall as a Kumho Young Artist. She has won numerous competitions in South Korea and performed with orchestras including Jeonju Philharmonic Orchestra, Moldova Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Gimpo Philharmonic Orchestra. Minchae received her B.M., M.M, and G.D. at the New England Conservatory under Miriam Fried, Donald Weilerstein and Soovin Kim. Currently, Minchae is an Artist Diploma student at Cleveland Institute of Music under Jaime Laredo.
