Windsor Parish Church
The present church was built in the Gothic Revival style between 1820 and 1822. It's the civic church of Windsor and many of the town's mayors are buried there.
The original church may have been built shortly after Henry I moved the Royal Court to Windsor Castle
The church's chancel and apse were added in 1870 by Samuel S. Teulon, the chancel screen was added in 1898 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, and the church's organ was built in 1905 by A Hunter & Son.
The organ has been refurbished recently, and was inaugurated by internationally renowned organist, and Windsor resident Thomas Trotter in the 2023 Festival.
Over the years the Festival has organised a wide-range of events in the Parish Church including Schools’ performances, orchestral and choral concerts, Hackney Colliery Band, and chamber music. In the year’s when the Festival ran events in March, to which we aim to return, the Church was home to Spring Leap.
